Swedish Massage
The perfect remedy to ease your mind and body
The standard massage generally requested for a more relaxing, stress-relieving session, this type helps loosen stiff muscles, stimulate blood circulation, relieve muscle cramps and spasms and calms your nervous system.
A swedish massage involves the application of long gliding strokes, friction, and kneading and tapping movements on the soft tissues of the body. Sometimes passive or active joint movements are also used in order to help increase range of motion.
Deep Tissue Massage
Best for giving attention to certain painful, stiff "trouble spots" in your body
A therapeutic massage, this type helps releive chronic patterns of tension and helps with muscle injuries. This massage is less rhythmic than other types and includes slow, deliberate strokes that focus pressure on layers of muscles, tendons, or other tissues deep under the skin. If you have chronic tension or a pulled muscle, this massage is for you!
A deep tissue massage includes a 7* out of 10 rating on the pain scale, while the therapist works out the muscle (0 = no pain; 10 = emergency room).
*This technique varies with every client depending on your pain tolerance or sensitivity, massage experience, and preferences. To ensure you are receiving the best quality session, as our client, you must have a constant open line of communication with your therapist during this massage.
Sports Massage
Great for those who are active in sports and/or working out
Developed to help with athletes in training, this massage can improve flexibility and prevent injuries. It helps with muscle systems used for a particular sport. It can also aid healing after a sports injury and assist with muscle strains.
This technique is generally fast paced to promote optimal blood flow and oxygen levels to specific muscles.
